[Like everyone else, Kushina is confused by the crap ton of new arrivals and their lack of wings. Only she's going to question the whole network about it instead of keeping it to herself. Maybe someone will know the answer.

She's hanging out by the bakery when she makes her post, so maybe you'll overhear her if you're around.]

I have a question. Why don't any of the new arrivals in Luceti have wings this month? I thought you needed them to be here.

[Silence... for a while, until there's a plucking/ripping sound and immediately afterward a loud;]

OWWWW!!

['Ttebane. She drops the journal, turning it off.]

[At the sound of her yell, it takes a few moments for Minato to get to where she is since she doesn't normally bring a kunai with his seal while shopping for bread. After this, though, he'll tell her to always do it because he's a worrywart like that.

A few moments still didn't take too long. Would have been faster if there aren't so many people. When he finally spots her, his expression is undeniably filled with worry.]

Kushina! Are you alright? I heard you shout! I'm sorry for taking so long!

[She's so HURT and ANGRY. Her biggest fear is the two of you forgetting her LIKE IT'S THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED SHE WAS JUST SHOPPING TO GET STUFF TO MAKE YOU A NICE CAKE AND THIS HAPPENED]

[Okay, that's not the reaction he expected to get. Minato stops then blinks once, twice, quickly analyzing why he got this reaction. Did he just do something he doesn't remember doing?]

Whose idea was what?

[It's a legit question for someone who's legit confused. But with the way she's all fired up about this, he suspects she's not having any of his LEGIT INNOCENCE.]

[NONE OF IT.]

This prank of yours and Naruto's, ya know?!

[At the mention of a prank, he almost feels proud he did one on her. Now if only he can remember WHAT IT IS.]

What prank? What did Naruto do?

She studies him for a long moment and some of the hardness in her posture loosens when she sees that's he's genuinely confused and trying to make sense. What in the WORLD is GOING ON.

But she's still skeptical.]

You seriously don't know.

[It's meant to be a question but it's very flat.]

[He gives a sigh as he notices her posture loosen a little. She should know he's bad at lying nor doing pranks ~~sob WHAT DID HE DO HE DOESN'T REMEMBER HIS SUPPOSED TO BE GLORIOUS PRANK~~ so it's good she's starting to believe him.]

I don't. I came here as quickly as I could because I heard you yell. I was worried so I came to check if you're alright.

[He begins to give her a proper once-over, immediately noticing she lost some of her feathers. Not good.]

In any case, are you?

[Which is why she's utterly mystified at everything that's happened since she's been at the bakery.

But this is the Minato she knows. He has the wings, he's taller than her now, and more importantly -- he knows her. If nothing else, this is what makes her not want to stomp away in a rage born from pain. She still doesn't know how to translate her feelings into less destructive outlets.]

I'm alright.

[Physically, yes. Emotionally? Not so much. And she stares stolidly at the ground to try and hide it, but that should be enough of a sign that she wasn't okay.]

[He's not perceptive if he doesn't notice this. He knows her inside out, her little gestures and her subtle quirks. She's his wife and that should tell so much about the familiarity they share. Whatever this prank he supposedly pulled, it did more harm than squeeze out laughs.

Minato takes her hand in his in a gesture of reassurance.]

No, you're not.

[He couldn't mask the worry in his voice.]

Do your wings still hurt? [He frowns a little. He knows her too well.] -Or are you hurting elsewhere? Tell me what happened.

[As if on its own, her free hand clutches the cloth over her heart. The hand Minato's holding, clutches at his.

Her brow furrows at the ground. It's not her wings. She could handle physical pain but the pain in her heart ached and she couldn't tough that out.]

I thought you two really forgot about me.

[Minato almost cringes at what she said. How can something like that even be possible? His frown deepens, realizing that this place is at it again.]

We would never.

[His voice is firm, his tone stressing a certainty not even the strongest of waves could wash away.]

I suppose it's this place again playing tricks on us.

[They could. She's heard about it enough times in this place. It was just the suddenness of it that caught her off guard and has her panicked. Hurt.]

You really, honestly remember everything?

[Minato gives her a slow nod. His eyes should never betray his sincerity.]

I do. I would never forget you. [A pause.] I don't think I even have it in me to try and pretend as if I did.

[That's... true. Minato was by no means cruel -- not to her, nor intentionally. In fact, he doesn't even play pranks. She relaxes.

And then gets angry.]

I'm so sick of the Malnosso! And their dumb experiments! Where the hell are they!

[PUNCHES AN OPEN PALM AND MOVES TO STOMP OFF AND FIND THEM

Not this was playing on her fears.]

[Nope, not going anywhere like that. The hand still holding hers gives a light squeeze to prevent her from stomping off to find them. There's no way, at least for now, to find them especially with the barrier on.]

Kushina, don't.

[His tone is relaxed as if to balance her temper.]

We will have our way with them when the time comes, but not for now. I think there's a bigger Shift going on here, something to do with bringing in more people. [Now that he thinks about it, Kushina probably met another him who doesn't know her. He did meet the First Hokage (and Madara fff) earlier, after all.] People we know and people we don't, regardless of time.

[He pauses as he frowns.] Regardless of who they are.

[She's jerked to a stop, looking at him with a deep frown and not calmed down in the least despite his sound reasoning. Considering how this place worked, it wasn't unheard of.

But she's no less pissed off.]

Yes, now! They're just going to keep doing it, ya know!
