[Like everyone else, Kushina is confused by the crap ton of new arrivals and their lack of wings. Only she's going to question the whole network about it instead of keeping it to herself. Maybe someone will know the answer.
She's hanging out by the bakery when she makes her post, so maybe you'll overhear her if you're around.]
I have a question. Why don't any of the new arrivals in Luceti have wings this month? I thought you needed them to be here.
[Silence... for a while, until there's a plucking/ripping sound and immediately afterward a loud;]
OWWWW!!
['Ttebane. She drops the journal, turning it off.]

Also NOT his mam.
Fear quickly dissipated into embarrassment- he hadn't exactly meant to blurt that out but her hair was
suspiciouslylike Kushina's and he'd just wanted to reassure this weird angry winged lady and... ahhhhhh.]Oh, um, her name's Kushina. --Uzumaki Kushina [Quickly added in, to confirm he did indeed know for sure that you swirly people had red hair.]. You kind of look like her, actually.
[But he's not entertaining the thought of this woman actually being Kushina somehow because they were the same age and time doesn't just speed up for one person even if they cheat with hiraishin.
HER mam maybe. An aunt. sister?]

Still not sure how to approach this. Her head tilts quizically, not because she doesn't know who it is (beause that's her she's Uzumaki Kushina tyvm, she knew she was his best friend and hearing it makes her heart give a little flutter even if this Minato is 12? 13?) but because it sounds like he's talking about someone else, not about the person standing right in front of him.]
Oh.
[Well, of course she does. That's her. BUT KIND OF? Did she really change so much from when she was young?
If this really is Minato and he forgot then maybe she can ask something she always wondered and remain safe by anonymity.]
What do you think of her?

He liked to think he was a good judge of character though, and she didn't seem to be a threat (even if she was stronger than him, he could sense that much) but... sensei wouldn't be very impressed if he babbled about Kushina to a stranger instead of gathering information would he?
...Well he might be more impressed to find Minato talking to a beautiful woman. BUT HE'S A CHUUNIN DAMNIT DON'T GET DISTRACTED.]
She's my best friend.
[Repeated, and that's all he's going to say about it right now.]
To be honest I don't really know how I ended up here, can you tell me about this place?

She probably loved him by now.
Minato always was a great ninja. While she was rushing in recklessly and unafraid and loud, he was thoughtful and cautious and calm. The only threat Kushina ever was, was to herself. While she was flying fists and fury with the people who made fun of her, growing up tempered that impatience and brash young girl into passion and a deeply rooted care for everyone. If her bullies were ever in trouble, she would be there to help.
So it's no surprise she decides to help young Minato, even if Minato should already--
For a moment however, she doesn't answer. Trying to decipher what good it would do but unable to help her nature -- and opportunity to talk. Since she doesn't know what HE wants to know, she'll give him a summary.]
This place is Luceti. It's a village full of different people from all over and it's surrounded by a barrier that keeps us inside and keeps other people out. There's no way to break it down either, I've tried. When you arrive here, you usually get wings like me. Today though, there's been a lot of people without them. I don't know what's with that.
[For a moment, she looks mildly annoyed.]
I don't know if Luceti is even anywhere near Konoha. Nobody knows the way back either. Sometimes, people just leave without warning and people come here without any warning too. That's how you ended up here. That's how I ended up here, too. And everyone else.
Everything is free here, so you don't have to pay for food or anything. Except there's some places who have a credit system. The houses you don't have to pay for, you just pick a place to live in.
All of the animals talk, too.
[SHE HAS MORE IF YOU NEED MORE]

I always have.
He listened quietly, absorbing the information she offered, comparing it to what little he'd already found out on his own. Aside from the whole barrier and wings and being stuck with no real idea where they were thing it didn't seem like there was any immediate danger so that was... good. Probably. But he couldn't even begin to guess as to why his arrival was different from the others and what that might actually mean.]
Thank you.
[Manners, before more questions.]
Are there a lot of people from Konoha here? Maybe there's someone I know... but I don't remember anyone going missing so maybe not.
[He doesn't want to just spend his days talking about Kushina in this weird place and the more he listens to this version of his favorite redhead the more he misses his version.
Getting stuck in some village out in the middle of bumfuck and held captive in a barrier he can accept. Kushina suddenly being like ten years older for no reason he can not.]

ugly sobbingHe sure did have a lot of questions to things he should already knew. This sort of inquisitiveness can't be faked. Something really did happen to Minato that has been him young, wingless, and as clueless as they had been upon first arrival. Was this the Malnosso? They really were just a bunch of lowlives.
But Kushina has taken a new school of thought into this whole 'Malnosso' and 'experiments.' Yes, they were horrible. Yes, they had to be stopped but something good can be made out of it. At least, a prank? Or, this time, getting young Minato to tell her what he thought of young Kushina whether he liked it or not because she's too damn curious.]
I'll tell you if you actually tell me what you think of Kushina. And just saying she's your best friend tells me what she is, not what you think. So don't try that again.
[Too bad, you're going to talk about her. A beat.]
So she has red hair like mine?
ROLLS IN EVEN LATER....
SPUTTERS
SPUTTER
CANNOT BELIEVE]
What kind of deal is that?! Why do you want to know so much about Kushina?
[HE CAN'T JUST TALK ABOUT HER OMG.
omg is this Kushina's mom is she trying to weasel dirt out of him no he will not do this!!!]
OH HELLO :3333c
Take it or leave it, ya know?
HI OLD LADY :33333
Apparently satisfied with his surveillance Minato turned back to her, though he couldn't stop the occasional peek out of the corner of his eye.]
I don't think it's a good idea to talk about her- if she found out she'd [VOICE LOWERS] probably beat me.
[Is that what you want lady? For him to get beaten up by a girl?
A PAUSE and then:]
She'd probably beat you up too.
GASPU
But what did he think of her when she mocked his dream and he still saved her and suddenly she was pulling pranks on him and giving him attention and unable to leave him alone.
Definitely not that.
She bursts out in laughter.]
Kuahahaha! Hahahaha!
