[ Yeah, that's a note of surprise in Kakashi's voice. He had fully expected that by now, Kushina would have had Naruto's entire life story, but clearly the boy left out some parts. ]

Umino Iruka was Naruto's Academy instructor. It's my understanding the two are quite close.

[Kushina isn't sure how to approach the topic of Naruto's life growing up. Not that she doesn't want to know everything about him.

Something about hearing that Naruto was close with his instructors makes her smile.]
